A recent University of North Florida poll has placed Donald Trump significantly ahead of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in the state, leading by 39 points among registered Republican voters.
Trump, 77, garnered a commanding 60 percent support, starkly overshadowing DeSantis’s 21 percent. In the same poll, Nikki Haley, Trump’s former UN ambassador, secured third place with six percent, followed by Chris Christie, the former New Jersey governor, who received two percent.
This latest poll underscores the challenges faced by DeSantis in Florida, as Trump continues to hold a dominant position within the Republican electorate.
